Delete a User from the Wiki

Steps

Deleting an account removes it from the wiki and from every group it belonged to. XWiki offers the action only once the account is disabled, so that nobody is deleted by accident. To delete a user account:

  1. Disable the account you want to delete, as Disable or Enable a User Account describes.
  2. Click "Delete", in the account's row of the users list of "Users & Rights" > "Users".

  3. Read the confirmation, which names the groups the account is removed from.

  4. Click "Delete".
  5. Notice that the account has left the users list.

FAQ

Why is there no "Delete" action on my own account?

XWiki never offers it there, so that an administrator cannot delete the account they are working with.

The confirmation warns that the user last authored some Pages. What do I do?

Fill in "New Author" with a user holding the same script or programming right. Left empty, those Pages keep an author who no longer exists and their scripts stop running.

Are the Pages the user wrote deleted too?

No, only the account itself. The Pages stay, and keep the deleted user as their author unless you name a new one.
