Steps

Disabling an account leaves it on the wiki, with its Pages and its group memberships, and stops it being used. To disable a user account, or to enable it back:

  1. Open the profile of the user whose account you want to change, by viewing all users on the wiki and clicking their name.
  2. Click "Disable this account", above the profile information, or "Enable this account" if the account is already disabled.

  3. Notice the warning above the profile, and the button now offering the opposite action.

FAQ

What can the owner of a disabled account still do?

Nothing. Their credentials are still accepted at sign-in, but every request they then make is refused, including reading the pages a guest is allowed to read.

Can I disable my own account?

No. Neither button is displayed on your own profile, so you cannot lock yourself out of the wiki.

How is the disabled state stored?

In the account's active property, which disabling sets to 0. Nothing else on the profile Page changes.

Can I do it without opening the profile?

Yes. The users list, in "Users & Rights" > "Users", carries a "Disable" and an "Enable" action in its "Actions" column.
