Steps

Deleting a group needs the Admin right on the wiki.

1. Open the wiki administration and go to "Users & Rights" > "Groups".
2. Click "Delete" in the row of the group:

   

3. The dialog names the group it is about to delete. Check it is the one you mean, then click "Delete":

   The members are not deleted with the group: every user and every subgroup it held keeps its own Page. Delete the ones you also want gone from the users list and from this one.

FAQ

Can I get back a group I deleted by mistake?

Yes. The group's Page goes to the recycle bin, and restoring it from there brings its members back with it.

Do I have to delete a group to take one person out of it?

No. Change its members instead, and the group and everyone else in it stay.

Can I delete a group from its own Page?

Yes. "Delete" in the group Page's "More Actions" menu removes it just as this screen does, behind the confirmation XWiki shows for any page rather than the "Delete group" dialog.
