Steps

To upgrade the pre-installed standard flavor of the wiki with the Distribution Wizard, once the distribution has been upgraded:

1. Start the XWiki instance.
2. Log in with a user that has programming rights.
3. Click "Continue" in the Welcome step of the Distribution Wizard:

   

4. Click "Upgrade" in the "Flavor" step to upgrade the flavor to the version that matches the distribution:

   

5. Click "Continue" to run the upgrade plan the wizard computed:

   

6. Click "Continue" once the flavor is installed:

   

7. Upgrade the extensions installed on the wiki:

   
   
   

8. Click "Continue" to leave the report the Distribution Wizard produced. It lists the Pages that were updated, as follows:

   

FAQ

Why do I need programming rights to run the Distribution Wizard when upgrading?

Extension Pages may need to be modified during the upgrade process. If the upgrade is performed with a user that does not have Programming Rights, these Pages might not be updated correctly.
