This is the release notes for XWiki Commons, XWiki Rendering, XWiki Platform and XWiki Enterprise. They share the same release notes as they are released together and have the same version.

This version is mostly a stabilization release which fix many bugs we have discovered since XWiki 6.2.4. But it also brings some improvements on the screen-width-responsiveness of the livetable in Flamingo.

Important problems noticed after the 6.2.5 release:

  • HTML exports are taking long (about 12s to export a single page, it was taking about 7s in 6.2.4). Thus if you're using this feature, we recommend waiting for 6.4.1 (or 6.2.6 but it's not sure there'll be such a release at this point since we might recommend upgrading to 6.4.1 when it's out).

New and Noteworthy (since XWiki 6.2.4)

Some improvements have been made on the responsive tables (including the livetables) and we have fixed the broken livetables for mobiles on some places:

Backward Compatibility and Migration Notes

General Notes

When upgrading make sure you compare your xwiki.cfg, xwiki.properties and web.xml files with the newest version since some configuration parameters may have been modified or added. Note that you should add xwiki.store.migration=1 so that XWiki will attempt to automatically migrate your current database to the new schema. Make sure you backup your Database before doing anything.

API Breakages

No API change since 6.2.4.
