The XWiki development team is pleased to announce the release of XWiki Watch 1.0 Milestone 4.

This release include both bug fixes and new features, among which you can find:

• Upgraded to GWT 1.4 which improves performance and brings new features
• Added autosuggest for article tags
• Added delete and edit actions to groups and keywords as well as a mechanism to delete fetched articles upon deleting a feed
• Various bugfixes and improvements

Google decided to extend the student registration period in order to allow more students to apply, since most organizations reported (on the private mentors mailing list and on the program's IRC channel) that the number of applications is generally smaller than previous years. At the same time, the quality of the proposals seems to have improved for most organizations.

How do things look for XWiki? …

First milestone of the XWiki Enterprise 1.4 version.

Note that general goals for XWiki Enterprise 1.4 are:

• Switch to Java 1.5
• Improved stats performances
• XMLRPC improvements
• Improved performances (less Javascript files, more optimized CSS, better caching, etc)
• Skins extensions
• Bug fixes
• More automated tests

This is a bug fix release following the XWiki Enterprise 1.3 release. See the release notes for more details. Most important fixed issues are related to authentication : cookie problems, LDAP issues, etc. If you are using XWiki Enterprise 1.3 the upgrade is highly recommended.
