Feature Status - Jan 2012
In September 2009 the XWiki.org project ran a survey asking users what features they'd like to see developed in the XWiki project.
2.5 years after, here's the result of what's been implemented and what's still outstanding. Since we're going to start defining the themes for the XWiki Enterprise 4.x cycle (which lasts 1 year), it's a good time to reflect on the results achieved so far compared to the community feedback from 2009.
The idea is to start a new survey real soon to gather feedback again about what you'd like to see in the XWiki Enterprise 4.x cycle.
So without further ado here are the results... ...

A few highlights of the new version:
- XWiki now requires Java 6!
- Upgraded versions of libraries which also no longer support java 1.5.

XWiki Enterprise/Manager 3.0 Release Statistics
XWiki Enterprise & XWiki Enterprise 3.0 are being released and I wanted to share some stats with the Community.
XWiki Developers have fixed 510 issues during the XE/XEM 3.0 timeframe (i.e. between beginning of January 2011 and end of March 2011, that's 3 months - that's 6 issues per day including week ends, not bad!).
In order to provide a good visibility of the work done, who's worked on what, and more, we've created a JIRA Dashboard for XE/XEM 3.0.
From now on we'll try to provide such a dashboard for each major XE/XEM release. Let us know if it's useful to you and if you like it. Improvement suggestions are most welcome too. ...

BugFixingDay February 2011
Yesterday we've had a #bugfixingday and we've achieved significant results. One of the goals was to make a dent in the Created Bugs vs Closed Bugs ratio.
We wanted to thank all who have participated (Committers and Contributors alike). Here are stats for Committers work:
| Name | # of Triaged Issues | # of Real Bugs Fixed |
|---|---|---|
| Sergiu Dumitriu | 9 | 14 |
| Vincent Massol | 4 | 3 |
| Marius Florea | 2 | 2 |
| Ecaterina Moraru | 2 | 2 |
| Thomas Mortagne | 0 | 1 |
| Caleb James Deslisle | 1 | 0 |
| TOTAL | 18 | 22 |
Thanks to the following contributors who helped:
- Andreas Jonsson
- Johannes Stoldt
Note that these stats may not reflect 100% of the reality since they rely on people tagging the JIRA issues with the bugfixingday keyword.
Again many thanks to all that have participated!
Let's hope the next bugfixingday will attract more from our 18 active committers.

XWiki In 2010
Vincent has published stats about XWiki Development in 2010.
It shows 2010 has been a good year with more releases than ever, even though the committer's activity has been slightly reduced in 2010 compared to 2009.
