Steps

Widening or narrowing a Panel column changes how much room is left for the page content, for every page you open in that browser.

1. Move the mouse pointer onto the border between the Panel column and the page content, until the resize handle appears.

   

2. Drag the handle sideways to the width you want, then release it.
3. The column keeps its new width and the content reflows beside it, as follows:

How do I go back to the width the administrator set?

Collapse the column and expand it again: hiding a Panel column also clears the width you chose for it.

Why is the column back to its old width in another browser?

The width is kept in the browser you set it in, so each browser and each device holds its own value.
