Steps

Collapsing a Panel column gives the page content the full width of the window, for every page you open in that browser.

  1. Move the mouse pointer onto the Panel column, until the toggle button appears at its top.

  2. Click the toggle button.
  3. The column is collapsed and the button stays in place, so the same click brings the column back, as follows:

FAQ

Does hiding a column hide it for everybody?

No. The choice is yours alone and lives in your browser. Removing a column for all readers is an administrator's job, described in Select the Panel Columns Displayed.

Why did the column lose the width I had set?

Collapsing a column clears its stored width on purpose, which is the quickest way back to the default.
