Steps

The default WYSIWYG editor inserts an image from a gallery of the Page's attachments:

  1. Edit the Page the image belongs in, and click "Image" in the toolbar.

    insert-image-gallery-toolbar.png

  2. The "Select Image" dialog opens on its "Gallery" tab, which lists the images attached to the Page. The "Tree", "Upload", "Icon" and "Url" tabs reach an image the gallery does not hold.

  3. Narrow the gallery by typing part of a file name in the search field, or switch the scope to "All Pages" to reach an image attached to another Page.

    insert-image-gallery-scope.png

  4. Click the image you want, then click "Select", which stays disabled until an image is picked. Double-clicking an image, or pressing Enter on it, does both at once.

    insert-image-gallery-selected.png

  5. The "Edit Image" dialog opens on the image you picked. Click "Insert".

    insert-image-gallery-insert.png

  6. The image is in the content of the Page.

FAQ

Why is an image I have just attached missing from the gallery?

The gallery searches the wiki's search index rather than the Page itself, so a freshly uploaded image appears once the index has caught up with the upload.
