Steps
An administrator creates an account for someone who cannot register themselves, on a wiki whose registration is closed for instance. To add a user account:
- Open the wiki administration and go to "Users & Rights" > "Users".
- Click "Create user", below the users list.
- Fill in the person's name, the user name they will sign in with, their password and their email address.
- Click "Create".
- Notice that the new account appears in the users list.
FAQ
Which fields does the form ask for?
The fields of the wiki's registration form, and it refuses a password breaking the password security policy.
Can the new user sign in straight away?
Only if email verification is off, otherwise the account is inactive first.
How do I give the new user more than their own profile?
Through Rights. Creating the account grants nothing beyond editing its own profile.
