Steps

A filter created in the administration is copied into every account registered after it, which is how a wiki gives its users a sensible starting point; Notification Filters describes what a filter can express.

  1. Open the Notifications section of the administration.
  2. Click "Add filter" under "Custom Filters".

The Add filter button of the administration Custom Filters section

  3. Select the locations, the action, the events and the channels the filter applies to, then click "Save".
  4. Check that the filter is listed in the "Custom Filters" table of the administration.

FAQ

What happens to the users who already have an account?

Nothing. Existing accounts keep the filters they have, and later changes to a global filter do not reach them either.

Can a user delete a filter they were given?

Yes. Once copied, the filter belongs to the user like any other custom filter of theirs.
