Reference
The GitHub-Flavored CommonMark 1.0 syntax (markdown+github/1.0) follows the GitHub Flavored Markdown specification, for content written for GitHub. It supports the same constructs as the Markdown 1.2 Syntax, including the GitHub-Flavored Markdown tables, strikethrough and automatic links. The following constructs are not supported yet:
| Construct | Example | Displayed as |
|---|---|---|
| Wiki image | ![[alt|[email protected]]] | ! followed by a link, instead of the image (MARKDOWN-92) |
| Task list | - [ ] Write the page | A list item starting with [ ], instead of a checkbox (MARKDOWN-71) |
| Disallowed raw HTML | <title> | An HTML tag, instead of text (MARKDOWN-70) |
See the unresolved issues of the GitHub-Flavored syntax for its other limitations.
