Explanation
The LaTeX Exporter turns a wiki page into a LaTeX document. It produces either a LaTeX package — a ZIP holding the .tex sources of the exported pages, together with the images and other attachments they use — or, where the wiki is set up to compile LaTeX, the PDF that package produces.
Export a Page to LaTeX is the procedure, from the export menu to the downloaded file, and Export Options describes what its form asks you. Where the wiki offers no PDF (LaTeX) entry, Convert a LaTeX Package to PDF compiles the package on your own machine instead.
Not everything a wiki page can hold has an equivalent in LaTeX, and what does is not always typeset the way the wiki displays it. Three pages describe what becomes of the content you wrote:
- Macro Support — the macros the exporter handles specially, such as toc, code and the message boxes, and what each one becomes
- Images, Figures and Captions — captioned figures and tables, and how an image's width and height are translated
- Numbered Headings — headings are numbered in the export, and how to keep one out of the numbering
Export Package describes the layout of the package itself.
