Trace a Specific Line Change in Blame View

Steps

If you checked the Blame view and still have not found the change you were looking for, related to a particular line of content, you can:

  1. Open the Blame View.
  2. Click on the specific version that looks relevant to the change you’re tracking.

  3. Notice The Compare Page Versions View that you're redirected to, with all the modifications performed in that particular version by its author.
  4. Inspect the differences: review the differences in the "Details" section to identify exactly what content was added, removed or modified.
  5. Go backward through history by using the left/right arrows (or parent link) to move to the previous version.

  6. Repeat the cycle: on each parent revision, open blame view again and repeat the steps until you find when and by whom the line was introduced.
