Office Importer
Explanation
The Office Importer turns an office document into wiki content: a text document, a spreadsheet or a presentation becomes a Page you can read, search and edit like any other. It exists so that content already written in an office suite reaches the wiki without being retyped in XWiki syntax.
There are two ways to import a document, and they differ in what they produce.
Importing while creating a Page converts the document into a new Page: one Page per document, or several when you ask the Office Importer Wizard to split the document on its heading levels.
Importing while editing a Page adds the converted content to the Page you already have open.
Both need a running office server, which an administrator configures once for the whole wiki.
