Replay a Recorded Install or Upgrade

Steps

The decisions taken during a run of the Distribution Wizard, such as the extensions to upgrade or the way a merge conflict was resolved, are recorded as they are taken, and the recording can be replayed on another wiki so that the same run does not have to be answered again there.

  1. Open the Extension History of the wiki the install or upgrade was performed on, and click "Export" to download the actions to replay:

  2. Open the wiki to replay them on, and choose "Replay recorded actions" in the "Later" button of the Welcome step:

  3. Import the file exported above, select the records to replay and click "Replay":

  4. Click "Continue" under the replay options:

  5. Click "Start" to run the replay plan:

  6. Follow the replay in the status screen that opens. It reports each replayed action, and prompts for any question the recording holds no answer for.

FAQ

Can the actions be replayed on several wikis at once?

Yes, provided the user replaying them has Programming Rights.

How is the Extension History reached on a wiki whose database is empty?

The "Replay recorded actions" option opens it even then, but you have to log in with the superadmin user first.
