Steps

Installing a flavor with the Distribution Wizard fills a freshly installed, empty instance with the wiki Pages of a ready-made set of applications.

1. Start XWiki and open it in a browser.
2. Click "Continue" in the Welcome step:

   

3. Fill in the account of the user who owns the wiki, then click "Register and login":

   

4. Select a flavor in the list, then click "Install this flavor":

   

5. Click "Install" to resolve the extensions to install, then "Continue" to install them:

   

6. Click "Continue" to leave the report of the changes the installation brought.
7. The wiki is ready to be used, as follows:

   

FAQ

Can the wiki be left empty instead?

Yes. The "Flavor" step also offers to install no flavor at all, and the wiki is then created without any application Page.

Why is the list of flavors empty?

The flavors are resolved from the remote extension repositories, so the list stays empty on an instance that cannot reach the Internet. Install XWiki offline to make them available locally.
