Steps

To display the latest entries of an RSS feed in a page you need the URL of the feed, and the RSS Display extension installed on the wiki.

  1. Edit the page in the WYSIWYG editor, place the cursor where the feed should appear, then click the Insert button of the toolbar and choose Other Macros.
  2. Type RSS in the filter, select the RSS Macro and click Select.

    The Select Macro dialog filtered on RSS, with the RSS Macro selected

  3. Paste the URL of the feed in the feed field. To limit the number of entries, set count; to show the content of each entry under its title, check content.

    The Edit Macro dialog of the RSS Macro with the feed URL and a count of 3 filled in

  4. Click Submit, then save the page. The page displays the feed's title and its latest entries, each one a link to the entry.

In the wiki syntax, the same Macro is written:

{{rss feed="https://forum.xwiki.org/latest.rss" count="3"/}}

The other parameters, such as the width of the box or the feed's image, are described in "rss" Macro.

FAQ

Why does the page display an error instead of the feed?

The wiki server could not read the feed. The error message gives the cause, as listed in "rss" Macro; open the URL in your browser to check that it returns a feed.
