Explanation

The S3 blob store implementation allows storing data like attachments and deleted pages in an S3-compatible object store. XWiki relies on conditional requests (If-None-Match on uploads and copies) to create an object only when it does not exist yet. Amazon S3 and MinIO support them. XWiki 18.10.0+ S3-compatible services that do not implement conditional writes, such as OVHcloud Object Storage, can be used by disabling the conditions in the configuration, as described in Configure S3 as Blob Store; without them, a "create only if absent" write checks that the object is absent before writing it, which is not atomic.
