Review the Latest Changes for Spam
Steps
The "Latest Changes" section of the application home page lists the events of the whole farm, newest first. Its filters hide everything a spam hunt does not care about, including the changes made by protected users, so that a burst of pages created by one unknown account stands out.
- Open the AntiSpam application home page.
- Tick "Filter out known users" to hide the changes made by administrators, known users and members of known groups.
- Tick "Filter out user pages", "Filter out playgrounds" and "Filter out AntiSpam pages" to hide the profile pages, the playground wikis and the application's own pages.
- Tick "Filter out non-create events" to keep page creations only.
- Click "More Events" to walk down the list fifty events at a time, and "Previous Events" to come back. AntiSpam 1.12.3+ The two buttons keep the filters you have ticked.
- Tick the events to remove.
- Click "Delete Selected Events".
- What is left is a creation-only view of the wiki in which a spam attack reads as a run of pages created by the same account:
FAQ
Can I leave some wikis out of the list?
Yes. Add the wikis parameter to the URL query string with a comma-separated list of wiki ids to exclude them. This is experimental and may be replaced.
Can I jump straight to a position in the list?
Yes. Add the offset parameter to the URL query string; a value that is not a positive number is ignored. This is experimental and may be replaced.
Why are two wiki ids named in a filter?
"Filter out playgrounds" hides the playground and xclams wikis, which are hardcoded rather than read from a list.
Does deleting an event delete the page too?
No. It removes only the record of the change. Use Delete Spam Pages and Users to remove the pages themselves.
