23 1.1 Upgrading from an older version

25 The process to upgrade an existing WAR installation of XWiki Workspaces is very similar as the one described [here>platform:AdminGuide.Installation#HUpgradingXWikiCore] for XWiki Enterprise. You will need to save your configuration files (xwiki.cfg and hibernate.cfg.xml) in order to keep the new war working with your environment. If you upgrade from XWS 1.0 M1, a new hibernate mapping file has been introduced for the activity streams, thus you will also need to merge hibernate.cfg.xml. (Refer to [code:Plugins.ActivityStreamPlugin#HInstallation] to add the mapping file to your configuration).
