XWiki Product Feedback
Here are some excerpts of what users have said while filling the XWiki Product Survey.
Guidelines related to feedback:
- We don't have to answer feedback. It's supposed to contain information we can act on to improve XWiki. It's not a discussion. If the person providing feedback has questions or wants to discuss a topic, they should use the Forum for that.
- When we want to bring some explanations, we can put it below. Check the archives to find examples (e.g. "Answer from Vincent Massol (XWiki Core Dev)")
- Sometimes the person leaving the feedback sets an email address. If the feedback is interesting and we want feedback, we can send an email, asking for clarifications or proposing to join the forum. This should done on a voluntary basis only, and always make sure that you speak in your name and not in xwiki.org's name. If there's a need to sync between responders, please use the #xwiki chat.

I use Linux and it would be great to have XWiki available as something like a Snap package. It was very confusing trying to get XWiki to run. There's no overall explanation of what a wiki requires or how it works, or a schematic of the various elements. I had to ask for help to just get it running, which I did. I had a short 15 minutes session with it before I had to go on to something else(which was wonderful, and I want more!) But then later when I came to log in again I was not able to, and have not been able to get help to fix that. So unfortunately my XWiki is not running and I can't use it.

Templates, we Use it mainly to document committee meetings and others. To use Templates would make our life a lot easier.
Coulours, pleaseAnswer from Vincent Massol (XWiki Core Dev):
Templates already exist.
By "colors", I assume you meant color in the WYSIWYG editor, and there's a plugin you can activate.

I would like support for authentication via WebAuthn credentials as it is much more secure and convenient for the users.
I think it would be helpful if there would be less different menus for navigation (currently there can be for example the top bar with categories and link trees on the left with general links at the bottom).
