The Release Notes Application 2.8 has been released.
This release brings the following changes:
- A change and a release note can now be updated, and not only created, from Java, from a script and over the REST API, which is how a change gets its screenshots and a version is marked released
- Changes added to the same release note at the same time are no longer lost, mixed up or refused
- The changes excluded from a release note no longer count against its limit, and the getChanges macro takes an "exclusions" parameter of its own
- A change search returns at most 1000 changes, whatever limit it is asked for
- The Contributors page created by "Add contributors" now records its version
- A page named after an oversized entry number no longer breaks the creation of changes
- The Java API gains the sections of a release note, a search that loads the changes it finds in one call, and importance names
- A series of security fixes, which makes upgrading recommended
