Risks of Downgrading

Explanation

Downgrading is not the recommended solution for problems. You should first try to upgrade to a newer version that fixes the issue you are facing. Only consider downgrading if upgrading is not possible or does not resolve the problem.

A previous upgrade may have introduced changes that are incompatible with older versions. These changes can affect:

  • the database schema,
  • the data stored in the permanent directory.

Because of this, downgrading by simply replacing the binaries is unsafe and may lead to data corruption or loss.
