XWiki 17.0.0 RC1 Released

The XWiki development team is proud to announce the availability of XWiki 17.0.0 RC1. This is the first release of the 17.x cycle. The most notable change is the move to Jakarta EE 9.1 that will allow XWiki to run on recent versions of the supported application servers (like Tomcat 10+ and Jetty 12 EE9/10). Make sure to read the migration notes though since this change can potentially break backwards compatibility. Besides this, it's worth mentioning the new sort parameter for the Document Tree and Children macros, and the new notification email headers for auto-replies. Being the start of a new cycle we also took the opportunity to upgrade of a lot of our dependencies. See the release notes for more information. ...

XWiki and Cryptpad communities meetup at FOSDEM 2025

The XWiki development team is happy to announce that the XWiki and CryptPad communities will be gathering at an informal meetup at FOSDEM, on Saturday, 1st of February. For this purpose, we have created a registration form so that we can organize everything and also keep you informed of all the latest details.

Important information to know:

  • Day: February 1, 2025
  • Hour: starting with 20:00 until 00:00
  • Location:  Scott’s Bar & Kitchen, Rue Montagne aux Herbes Potagères 2,1000 Bruxelles, Belgium

The party will be organized in collaboration with NextCloud and OpenProject.

Cristal 0.13 Released

Cristal 0.13 is now released.

This release bring two noticeable changes. First, the User Interface (UI) element placeholders has been removed. Consequently, all the elements presents on the UI are now linked to dynamic values provided by the backend. Second, the editor benefits from several improvements for the edition of tables and images. But also the possibility to drag and drop blocks.
