I just updated to 3.4. I changed the PermGenSpace to 1g. It starts, but everytime I let apache manager do a reload because I changed a conf setting the Java hangs and I am out of PermGenSpace.
12:24 <+tmortagne> maybe there is some stuff not properly cleaned when just doing a reload which produce a memory leak somewhere 12:31 <Andrei> has joined #xwiki 12:31 <Andrei> has left #xwiki 12:31 <AndreiHalici> has joined #xwiki 13:04 <kayasaman> tmortagne:just glossing over this I also experienced the 'memory' leak and eventually I setthe PermGenSpace to 3.5G 13:05 <kayasaman> tmortagne: with Apache Tomcat one will get that it seems.... 13:06 <kayasaman> although am running FreeBSD my settings are as follows: tomcat60_java_opts="-Djava.awt.headless=true -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8 -server -Xms3072m -Xmx3072m -XX:NewSize=256m -XX:MaxNewSize=256m -XX:PermSize=256m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -XX:+DisableExplicitGC" 13:09 <+tmortagne> kayasaman: xwiki.org has -XX:MaxPermSize=150m 13:09 <+tmortagne> (I actually tough is was more) 13:09 <+tmortagne> I usually use 256 too 13:10 <kayasaman> tmortagne: possibly but for whatever reason Tomcat on BSD at least creates a massive memory leak 13:10 <+tmortagne> on permgen ?
